Every few years I join again, I need the convenient locations and the offering of many classes. However, once again I received lip service for "We'll support you", "We are here to help"...they are not. Not only do I see SEVERAL women incorrectly using machines and following not so effective weight regiments, but the staff walk by and do not care, neither intervene, nor offer assistance. Of course they're right on it when you join and get your tour, but then consider yourself dropped. And personal training...it is better to ask a friend to work out with you. I will stay a member for my time, lose my weight, get in shape, but I do it alone with the support of friends, not the BAC.

The customer service is absolutely terrible! I've been a member for almost 18 months and ran into a issue where I needed to speak with someone in their customer service department. Either their customer service department don't exist or it's a woman operation. This means, they don't offer the "best" customer service, nor do they offer the best guidance. Their only interested in automatically deducting that monthly fee and wooing more vulnerable customers looking for a way out of there weight issues. So, if your looking for some real customer service, guidance, assistance in weight loss or weight management, please say a pray and follow God's instruction.

I have been a member since 2002. Regardless of how very convenient it is, I will not sign up again. My main reason for the low rating is customer service. The club managers seem to have little regard for the customer concerns and there is literally no-one to complain to beyond whomever is the current club manager. They do not cater to their customers and once you sign a contract - they treat you like they do not care about your concerns. Since they rotate managers and staff every so many months or every year, any relationship the members had is gone and members are then stuck with the whims of the new manager. If they want to blast techno music non stop - that is what they do. It definitely is not a place to go if you want to enjoy a workout without feeling like you are at some dance club! If you like young uncaring managers and staff with an attitude and you like non-stop techno music - it?s the place for you. If you join - don?t sign a long term contract - because if they change managers and you don?t like what is going on - too bad, they don?t care.

I have joined the BAC a few times and have always encountered the same problem: Near the end of my membership, I start getting harassed about rejoining and buying a more expensive membership. I am constantly asked for other peoples' names so they can try to sell them memberships. During the last weeks of my last membership, I avoided going to the gym just so I wouldn't be harassed. That is NOT how a business should be run. If the product is good, then people will come back. My other complaints are the following: inexperienced trainers...they don't have degrees or certifications. Most are college students who have very little training. Messy locker rooms, equipment that doesn't work properly, and aerobics equipment that is outdated. Also, my friend sometimes uses the playroom for her kids and the toys are dirty and gross. I liked joining a gym because I could have some time to myself and just excercise, but you could go anywhere for that.
