222 City Hall
Buffalo, NY 14202

Description:

Buffalo City Hall is one of the largest and tallest municipal buildings in the entire United States. The beautiful Art Deco-style building was finished in 1931, with the friezes that dapple the outside of the building created by famed artist Albert Stewart at a later time. Inside the building, visitors can view the large sunburst-style stained glass ceiling and the City Chamber room, which was built to cater to the tastes and needs of the 1930s government official as well as reflect the ideals that those men were to uphold. The building is located in the center of Niagara Square, just east of LaSalle Park.
